By Mr. Francisco Jiménez

Technology provides learners a variety of tools autonomized to enhance their knowledges
about a language, but the quality which that stands for is the incredible feedback that the student
is provided immediately and result in a powerful tool for improving language outcomes. In my
opinion, this trend about computers aided to language learning is an opportunity to provide
learners an accessible and flexible learning environment, personalized language experience and a
foundation in creating engagement and motivation for an English class.

This trending has made language learning materials more accessible and flexible than
ever before. Online language courses and mobile language learning apps allow students to learn
anytime, anywhere, whether at home, on the go or on the other side of the world. According to a
report by the Babson Survey Group (2019), 33.5% of higher education students in the United
States took at least one online course in the fall of 2018. This represents an increase in online
course enrollment for the 14th consecutive year. Therefore, technology has made language
learning materials more widely accessible and flexible than ever before. Resources used in
CALL has provided some personification for learning environment as well.

In order to personalize language learning experiences, adaptive learning software can
analyze a student's performance and adapt to their strengths and weaknesses, providing targeted
feedback and additional practice. According to a study conducted by the Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation (2019), personalized learning technologies can improve student outcomes by
providing more tailored and relevant learning experiences. personalized learning technologies
can improve student outcomes by providing more tailored and relevant learning experiences.
Thus, personalized learning programs are particularly effective for students who find a tailored
learning to enhance their language skills. Technology can also make language learning more
engaging and motivating for learners.

Particularly younger learners who may be more familiar and comfortable with digital
devices and multimedia content create a commitment when they learn with relish. Game
techniques such as points, leaderboards can be used to motivate and reward students for their
progress. Interactive multimedia content such as videos, animations and virtual reality
simulations can also make language learning more engaging and engaging.

In conclusion, the use of technology in language learning has revolutionized the way
learners approach language acquisition and has provided them with more accessible and flexible
learning environments. Additionally, personalized learning technologies, such as adaptive
learning software, analyze learners' performance and provide tailored feedback and additional
practice. Furthermore, technology can make language learning more engaging and motivating,
especially for younger learners who are more familiar with digital devices.
